Velvet Zoe Ramos

I spotted a⭐BRIGHT STAR! And she can COOK! She is also a local farmer, an artist and all-around sweet and creative multi-talented young woman. I met Velvet and instantly had to feature her on Andara Life, as she is one very talented creator of recipes and dishes that contain fresh ingredients. Velvet is also knowledgeable in the history of each ingredient she carefully selects!

Velvet Zoe is holding a Solo Exhibition titled INTERLASADO: PARALLEL at the National Library of Aruba. As an interdisciplinary artist, Velvet Zoé Ramos brings together a selection of ceramic sculptures, paintings, and video projections that reveal different threads within the artist’s evolving practice.
Parallel is part of Interlasado, an ongoing artistic practice through which Ramos moves fluidly between performance, video art, artist ceramics, printmaking, painting, culinary art, and filmmaking.

A few months ago, I met the founder of this lovely start-up called Eden Embrace. I was immediately drawn to how the company’s vision and mission is to accompany the elderly, with presence being the most important aspect of support! We spoke about the importance of eating together; having a Care Companion there to share a meal with an attentive ear, listening and conversing with people who are going through challenges that accompany a diagnosis that affects memory.

Memory loss in our Winter Season in life is quite common, yet highly feared and stigmatized. Life does not end at a diagnosis; there is still fun to be had, honor to be received & Legacy to be built! Eden Embrace offers a gentle approach to combat the confusion surrounding diagnoses by supporting family members as well. Andara Life is thrilled to feature their work and we congratulate ALL who serve our elderly, daily in Aruba and around the world!
